The Cure 082989 Cleveland Ohio

This was my first Cure concert. I was seventeen at the time. This was a mile stone in my life because it marked the end of my childhood and with it came the onset of adulthood..........nothing was easy anymore after this. Anyways, thanks to Harrold for this show. I had been looking for this show for ages. The sound quality isn't the greatest, but its all I have. The Cure 061393 Finsbury Park

First and foremost, I'm going to upload my shows in MP3. This saves me time and space. I will make exceptions if someone really wants a certain show in FLAC. Just let me know.

This show, to me, is by far the greatest Cure concert I think that was ever performed. Porl had left the group at this time and so they were reduced to a four piece. There's lots of aggression in how they played these songs. Shiver and Shake is simply incredible (and fast) and it was the best way to open the show. The version of A Forest that they played simply rocks................everything sounds so violent. Plus, there's no backing tracks or clickers (like they use today).

Unfortunately, I have three versions of this show and all of them have screaming broads. I pray that a soundboard of this show surfaces in the future.

The Cure 061608 NC, USA

This show is incomplete however, the sound is awesome. They started this gig with Underneath the Stars, which is a great way to start a show. When they first started to play this live, they used a backing track of waves crashing onto the shore and they used it for the outro as well. For whatever reason, they stopped using it. I thought it gave the song an etheral feel to it and I loved it. I was hoping that it would be used for the new album, but it wasn't. Hopefully a demo of this will surface in the future. I'll keep my fingers crossed. In my opinion, this is one of their best songs.

Friends of Old

The other night I dreamt back to the time when I was in grade school. In the dream, I had this simple sense of happiness. All my friends (in the picture) were there and we were concentrating on having fun. A far cry from the problems and worries of now. Its amazing how fast time goes by. This picture was taken this past summer. When I look at it now, I can see just how much we have all changed. Its almost scary knowing that so much time has elapsed. It was a great few hours the night this picture was taken. All we did was talk about the old days-skipping school, getting in trouble, getting liquored up before class started, music, girls-we really didn't talk about the here and now. But during those hours, I didn't have a single worry. It was nice. I miss my old friends and I hope we can get together again soon. This is a shout out to them.

Feast II

This movie was sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!! I'm a blood and guts kind of guy. I sometimes deal with it at work, but I prefer it better when I'm watching it on T.V. This is the follow up to "Feast". The "Feast" movies are about people being terrorized by a group of monsters. In the first one, people were trapped in a bar (another awesome movie). Now in part two, people are trapped on a roof. It had wrestling midgets, topless broads, all kinds of bizarre shit. Hell,when there on the roof, they actually make a catapult and attempt to launch Grandma to another roof. The result is hilarious. And so is the scene with the baby (as well as disturbing). If you like jacked up movies, go check this out.

Refusing to pursue promotions to be with his children, Roger served as a Sergeant in the City of Santa Fe Police Department, providing service and safety to the public. He placed his own life on the line to protect and serve. Recipient of the Medal of Valor, the highest honor a Police Officer can receive for public service. Roger is survived and will be treasured by Susie Romero; his son Adamus Romero; daughter Brianna Romero; mother Laura Romero; sister Christine Thomas, husband Brad Thomas and children; brothers, Greg Romero, wife Dolores Romero and children; Ron Romero, wife Paulette Romero and children.

Roger was my supervisor, and more importantly, my friend while I was a cop in Santa Fe. It was always fun working along side of him. He was always the butt of my practical jokes and he took it well. Its been more than two weeks since he passed and I'm still hurting inside. I wish that I could have been there at the end for him. Viya con dios, Roger. You'll be missed.
